What is Jars by Jodi?
Jars by Jodi is a small business, located in Pitt Meadows, that sells all the dry ingredients for cookies or desserts, all layered in a mason jar.
What is the turnaround time?
Mixes are currently on a 5-10 business day turnaround, with the exception of mixes in the "ready for pick up" section. Email us at jarsbyjodi@gmail.com if you're looking for an order with a shorter turnaround time to see if we can accommodate.
How many cookies does each jar make?
The regular jars make around two dozen cookies, the mini jars make around a dozen cookies, and the petite jars make between 6-8 cookies.
Can we return our jars to you?

Help! I've added the liquid ingredients but my cookie mix is still really dry/not forming properly!
Don't stress! This can happen, often due to the consistency of butter used. Simply add a few more tablespoons of melted butter and mix it in until the dough starts to form properly. Read more baking tips here: Baking Tips.
Help! I've added the liquid ingredients but my cookie mix is really wet and soupy!
It's going to be okay! By the sounds of it a little too much butter was added. You can put your mix in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to help solidify the dough a little bit. Read more baking tips here: Baking Tips.
Where is local pick up?
The pick up location is near 188 Street and Advent Road in Pitt Meadows. For free local pick up, choose the "Local Pickup (Pitt Meadows, BC)" on the shipping page. This option is only for those who can pick up from our pick up location in Pitt Meadows. All other orders must be sent via "standard shipping." You will be contacted via email when your order is ready for pick up.
Do you offer shipping? What does it cost?
YES! Shipping is generated at a real-time rate, finding you the cheapest cost of shipping for your order. Simply fill up your cart and the shipping will be calculated for you.
When will my order be shipped?
Orders are shipped out weekly. You will receive a shipping notification when your order is sent. Orders are typically completed in 5-10 days and then ship out following their completion.

What are lactation cookies?
They contain a mixture of oats, flax, and brewer's yeast that are known to promote breastmilk in breastfeeding moms. FYI: these cookies will not cause non-breastfeeding friends or family members to lactate and are therefore safe for anyone to eat. 
Do the mixes expire?
The mixes are good for roughly 9-11 months after they are made. Check the sticker label for the month and year of the best before date.
